About this object

These ten "Queen's Beasts" were designed for the Coronation of Elizabeth II on June 2, 1953 by Mr. James Woodford, O.B.E. and were set up at the annex at Westminster Abbey. The White Greyhound has a red collar edged and studded with gold, a gold ring and supports a shield of Tudor Livery in white and green with the crowned Tudor rose.
