About this object

This bottle vase rises from its foot ring to a bulbous broad shoulders surmounted by a tall cylindrical bottleneck. It is flambé-glazed in langyao on the exterior with characteristic streaking from a grayish buff tone at the top of the neck to splashes of crimson against deep raspberry. The foot ring is unglazed and the langyao glaze has pooled, resulting in grinding and polishing to create a level base.
