About this object

The footed cups bulge in the middle and the edge of the rim flares out slightly and is scalloped. The exterior is painted with gold leaf scrolls and several vertical motifs, slightly curved, in dark blue and gold with a blue dot within the gold part of the scroll near the top and another at the base, all on a white ground. the rim, foot and the two ear-shaped handles are gilded. There is a band of gold scroll with leaves and blue dots on the interior of the cups near the lip. The saucers, with a gently upcurving rim, have similar decoration.
