About this object

The vase is urn-shaped with a round pedestal foot. The handle on the cone-shaped lid is shaped like a bud with white and gold petals. Below it is a broad, solid gold band and around the rim a white band with gold leaf scrolls and a gold edge. The two handles are shaped like gilt female busts with wings attached to the top of the bowl. The body of the bowl is white with leaf scrolls except for two rectangular panels with gold frames. One panel encloses a landscape containing a manor house with a stream in front. There are fisherman in a boat and people at the side of the stream. The other panel has a cluster of pink, yellow and blue flowers. The foot of the vase has a border of gold dots at the top. The pedestal is annor and colored solid gold. It ends in a simple round foot with a white edge.
