About this object

The statuette shows a young man standing. He is holding a letter in his left hand and places the right hand on his hip. There is a dog with gray spots seated at left. The man wears a black brimmed hat, a pink and pale blue jacket, a white vest with red and blue flowers, pale yellow knee pants and black shoes. He has a gray pouch hanging from a strap at his back. There is a mottled gray-green tree stump at his back for support. There are two leafy branches in dull gray-green with white flowers touched with blue that extend from the stump. He stands on a white base with molded rococo scrolls touched with gold and turquoise.
