The frame is an upright rectangular shape with beveled corners. The inner frame is in gold with a dark blue enamel band in the center which is interrupted by decorative pieces of lapis lazuli and gold. It contains a miniature of Nedenia Hutton standing in front of a model of the Sea Cloud. She is a young girl and wears a blue dotted dress. She is seen bust length. The frame came in its fitted box
