About this object
The main part of the frame is an upright rectangle made in gold with a red and white enamel decoration in a stepped motif. At either side is a rectangular gold piece set with tiny rubies. The base is a series of rectangular pieces of agate on end with the narrow sides facing forward and set with tiny rubies and all are bound together with a piece of jade. The miniature is of Marjorie Merriweather Post. She faces forward, half length, and has her hair upswept. She wears several strands of pearls and a dress with fur on the shoulders.
