About this object

Circular peach silk purse lining with pockets on the interior of the bag (one on either side). A semi attached raised peach gimp would have outlined the interior of the top opening. A rounded metal purse handle, 6 ¼” W x 3 ½” H x ¾” D (when closed as far as possible), with raised floral and leaf motifs on the front back. The bottom edge of both the front and back of the handle has a scalloped edge with each individual scallop being pierced with a singular small hole. The front also features an embellished circular hoop dangling from a loop to create a pull. The top of the handle has a repeating geometric pattern. A fixed floral pin is at the center of the top and on either side of pull, two inches down, are stylized floral loops for a chain. The handle closes with a push / pull clasp. French made. Inside stamped “MRS Co.” “Pat. APL’D FOR”
