About this object

Painted, white, silk brooch made of a curved bar brooch and a dangling oval pendant pinned to the back of the bar brooch. The silk is hand painted with purple pansies highlighted with yellow and white and white and yellow lilies of the valley to fit each piece individually. The silk has been stretched over a hard (presumably wooden) innards piece and sewn closed with the metal fasteners protruding through the silk. The oval pendant was originally not attached to the bar brooch and would have been a separate piece.
