About this object

The blue crepe hat is covered with black, machine made lace. The scalloped edges of lace meet across the center of the crown. The front is decorated with a very large and elaborate 15 lobe wired bow in folded 5” wide blue satin ribbon, twisted as it continues around the crown finishing with a 6” blue silk magnolia with several flocked petals and green stamen. Wide brim form with large crown set off center toward the back of the hat (8” x 8.5” x 4.25”), the front is 5.5”D, 3.5” in the back. The metal frame of the hat is covered in a blue crepe, shirred with a draw-string through the lining under the crown. Worn with matching parasol and hat pins.
