About this object

Oval box shaped metal frame, covered in sheer tulle with corners wrapped in blue velvet. The hat is covered on all sides with tightly arranged blue (faded) forget-me-nots with small pink buds. The right side (facing) has large rosettes made in concentric rows of ruffled satin ribbon, center tan, then pink, then pale blue and finish with blue. The theme continues on the left side (facing) with smaller folds of the same colored ribbon which continues into a spray of ribbon 3.5” – 4” long. Extending from the back of the rosette and curving around the back of the hat is a cluster of white and yellow feathers approximately 12”L. The interior of the hat is white silk (shredding).
