About this object

A deep pill box shape, the hat is impressed with a circle on the crown just inside the edge. The form is made of navy Carmeuse nap in a swirled pattern, with a cut sweetheart shape in the front. The bottom edge is finished with 1.25” velvet band with self welt in red against blue. Ornament is applied “S” curve coiled braid, pinched in the center to create a 3-dimensional shape. One “S” curve is applied on each side and two butt against each other in the front creating a forward peak. The hat is lined in blue taffeta and signed by the designer in red thread.
