About this object

In form of round locket. In center is a miniature of the Neva with the Fortress of Saint Peter and Paul with inscriptions. Below is the coat of arms of St. Petersburg in red enamel surmounted by the imperial crown in gold. Locket is encircled by diamonds. At top is the imperial crown in gold, diamonds and two cabochon rubies. Inside is a photograph of Lazareff, owner of Galilee, the horse who won the prize.
