About this object

The ground is in light pink enamel with a lattice in raised white dots and gilt scrolled frames. There are two cartouches on the lower section, one in the middle and one on the upper, all painted in colors with landscapes. The four scenes are all nearly identical, each with two men walking together in a rolling landscape. Lower section forms a case for needles. The top unscrews and is a thimble, the part immediately below being for scent.
