About this object
The top of the round box contains a panel of blue guilloche enamel with a wavy sunburst motif. In the center is a five-pointed star surrounded by a delicate garland with rosettes. A band around the edge contains six chased flower sprays, while around the sides are two bands of similar sprays, a narrow band of dots and a wide one of striation. There are spiraling dots on the bottom. It has a lift off lid and a gilt interior.
