About this object

The rat-tailed spoon has a deep oval bowl and a long thin handle. The handle has several sections. The end is twisted in a spiral. Next is an animal mask followed by a long section of vine scrolls on blue enamel. The area closest to the bowl consists of three disks with celtic designs on a green ground separated by pairs of beads. The bowl is decorated with scrolled foliage.
