About this object

Box is decorated with rococo scrolls and a stone ground interspersed on the cover in enamel with two cupids in blue enamel, on sides flowers, baskets, etc. in blue enamel and birds in red. On bottom of box in center are blue love birds with ribbons and flowers and red roses. On cover is set a miniature of Alexander II facing to the right and wearing his regimental uniform with his cipher on the epaulets. He also wears the badges of several imperial orders and medals as well as the stars of the two imperial orders. Miniature is signed and dated.
