About this object

A small figurine of a member of Commedia della arte. The torso is made from a large baroque pearl. The face and hands are enameled in natural colors. The cap, sleeves and pantaloons are made in gold which is enameled blue and green and set with diamonds, rubies and pearls. The collar is enameled white with a diamond pendant. The sword is made from red gold. The figure stands with one foot on a flat agate base which is mounted in gold enameled blue and green. He kicks the other foot up in the air, and has raised his right arm up to his face.
