About this object

The bottom of each bowl on the inside is a medallion with the head of Louis XVI in profile facing right. On the outside a coat of arms with the inscription "JETON DES ETATS DE BRETAGNE 1774." The sides of the bowls inside are decorated with six repoussé shallow scrolls with bunches of grapes hanging from their ends, indented on the outside. The handles are shaped like pairs of snakes, their tails twisted together, bodies cross-hatched. Edges of bowls reinforced.
